The LGBTQ community is at a constant fight for being treated as equals by society. Though many people are open to the LGBTQ community, many still struggle with accepting people of this community. What challenges is the community facing today?

De Palazzo serves Equality Florida as the new statewide Safe School Director. She has been an LGBTQ Coordinator for Broward School District, a National LGBTQ consultant and an anti-bias trainer. In working with 67 school districts, she has been driven by her passion to help and tend to the unique needs of students in the LGBTQ community
